VECT Engineering is a custom engine builder appearing in Ridge Racer V. Along with Jeger, VECT makes custom engines for the Extra class cars as well as Oval specification engines for use in races held at the Airport Oval, although unlike Jeger, VECT only serves Rivelta vehicles. Therefore, it is unknown if VECT is a truly independent company like Jeger (perhaps in a situation comparable to Mecachrome and Renault in Formula One), or it is a part of Rivelta.

The fate of Jeger and VECT after Ridge Racer V is unknown. However, if VECT is assumed to be part of Rivelta, it might have been shut down by Soldat's buyout, roughly at the same time (or even before) the Rivelta shutdown announcement in Ridge Racer 7.

Trivia

• The name "VECT" appears to be a reference to Honda's VTEC system, however, only the VCT18 engine appears to resemble any engine made by Honda featuring VTEC. It is also not known what "VECT" stands for.
  • "VECT" might likely be derived from "vector", making a reference to the defunct Vector Motors, although they manufacture complete automobiles rather than just engines.
