Sunset Drive is a course first introduced in Ridge Racer Revolution as its Novice course. It returns in Ridge Racer 64 (under the name Revolution Novice), Ridge Racers, Ridge Racers 2, and Ridge Racer 3D.
Course information[]
Sunset Drive shares a few similarities with Seaside Route 765, featuring simple turns and relatively wide roads perfect for beginners. The sharp hairpin at the beginning of the beach section, however, must be looked out for, as approaching this corner at full speed may cause players to fly up and hit the incoming wall as they land.
Setting[]
In all of its incarnations except for Ridge Racer 64, Sunset Drive is set within a commercial city area, which then transitions into a beach.
Ridge Racer 64 features a drastic change in setting for the Revolution courses, as it situates them in the "scenic Northwest"[1], featuring mountains, forests, and waterfalls. Revolution Novice even features a resort called the Ridge Racer Golf Club, which the course passes through.
Errors[]
- Considering the geography of the RRR courses, these three courses cannot possibly coexist with each other, as the beach present in this course would clash with the mountains of Crystal Coast Highway and EX Revolution Road.
