Shuttleloop Highway is a course first introduced in Ridge Racer Type 4 under the name Shooting Hoops. It returns in Ridge Racers 2, and in Ridge Racer Accelerated as an in-app purchase.
Course information[]
Shuttleloop Highway serves as Ridge Racer Type 4's oval course, featuring very wide roads and large turns. Precision is the key element to take note of when racing on this course, with mastery of the course only achievable when players know how to maneuver their cars along the course while avoiding opponents.
In particular, drifting on the course in Ridge Racer Type 4 is unnecessary and even discouraged, as players may end up drastically losing speed and letting other cars overtake them.

Trivia[]
- The course's name may be a reference to its shape, which vaguely resembles that of a basketball hoop.
- The race, as depicted in Ridge Racer Type 4, takes place on New Year's Eve, just fifteen minutes before the new millennium (in the year 2000).
- Story-wise, Giuliano Gilbert, the son of Racing Team Solvalou managing director Enki Gilbert, was killed while racing on the course in 1986 by Shinji Yazaki, the founder and president of the Pac Racing Club, during his days as a Racing Team Solvalou driver, making the course fairly controversial.
