The Lizard Ignition is a racing car from Lizard, featured in Ridge Racer Type 4. It could be based on the 1987 Chevrolet Corvette Indy concept or the 1993 Chevrolet Corvette CERV-III concept, it also resembles the Nissan R390 GT1 which raced in the 24 Hours of Lemans in 1998, the Japanese release year for Ridge Racer Type 4.

Design and performance

It sports a sleek and low-slung profile typical of sports prototypes, with extensive aerodynamics and a set of small headlights to complete the look. Power comes from a turbocharged 6.2 liter V8, mated to a 6-speed transmission. On R4's branch system, it's Lizard's top-end Stage 3 car.

Among the few machines, it was the Ignition of Lizard that remained until the final round of the RRR's Final GP of last year.  The flowing front-to-side line with no protrusions seems to make it drift even with protrusions. The aero parts that look like two layers when turned behind are also a feature of the Ignition. The engine is a V8 turbo engine with a displacement of 6,200cc. The turbocharger, which has been effective from relatively low revs, also contributes to the maximum speed of over 220km/h. However, the spectator's taste of this machine is, after all, the power slide at high speed that made the turbo crisp. You want to enjoy the full-throttle running that can receive the full benefit of the rear wing.
