With the emergence of many new machines over the years, it has been rumored that KAMATA would discontinue production of FIERA machines, however KAMATA has denied this speculation, promising to continue production. They also announced plans for a special Namco Bandai machine."

Ridge Racer Accelerated

Specifications for Ridge Racer Accelerated’s rendition of the Kamata Fiera is as follows:

Class 1 219 km/h (136 mph) STD

The Fiera appeared in Ridge Racer Accelerated as the game’s starter vehicle. It’s design was primarily based on its Good Luck vinyl, with 2 white stripes going across, a Pac Racing Club Sponsor, and a codename that was given “Starluster” instead of “Hyperknight”. The Fiera is basically a drift-type with an STD handling type, and proves to be a real drift master in the game, with highly good handling and speed stats, and the drift is highly controllable.

The Fiera in RRA has a total top speed of 136 mph and a total of approximately 2 seconds of acceleration using a stopwatch. The RRA Fiera can basically be described as an upgraded Skykid Fiera (from RRPSP) with faster acceleration and a much more controllable drift.

Ridge Racer Vita

"If the SYNCi is the symbol of Kamata's new age, then the Fiera is no doubt representative of the Kamata tradition. Compared to the 2006 model, the new model adds an extra 200mm to its length and 100mm to its width. This long and wide body, combined with a lowered height, gives the machine a much more aggressive look. Loyal fans would be interested to know that the model has also been upgraded with a refined bodyline and LED headlights for a modern feel. The Fiera encompasses the best of a sports coupe through the '90s and 2000s. And its legend still continues."
―"Ridge Racer (PlayStation Vita)"

The Fiera returns in Ridge Racer Vita, and as ever, maintains its Ridge Racer 7 looks, but now with an aggressive body design. It still retains its V6 engine and six-speed gearbox.

Trivia

  • Fiera roughly means "beast" or "wild animal" in Spanish.
    • In Italian, Fiera is the singular feminine of fiero, which could mean "frightening" or "intimidating", or roughly, "bold" or "daring".
  • The Fiera has had the most appearances throughout the series to date.
  • In Ridge Racer V, it was called the Fiaro, but renamed as the Fiera in later games. In Slipstream, it was renamed again to "Fiarre".
    • The car's entire naming history may be derived from F/A Racing, with the forward slash being replaced by the letter I.
  • In Rage Racer, two opponent cars in Class 2 resemble the classic F/A Racing Fiera.
  • The 765-car limited edition mentioned in the description of the car in the PSP games is possibly a "launch edition" model.
    • This is in contrast to the much later Assoluto Bisonte featured in Ridge Racer 6 and 7, where it is also a model with a limited production run.
  • The front end of the Fiera from Ridge Racers-onwards, resembles the Assoluto Squaldon/Dragone from Rage Racer.
  • According to Ridge Racer 6's in-site description, a special edition of the Fiera was equipped with paddle shifters, implying that the car had an automatic/semi-automatic transmission.
  • A special paint job can be downloaded for Ridge Racer Vita, although this is exclusive to the Japanese version and for Japanese Playstation Network accounts. The special paint job features Haruka Amami, an idol from Namco's other series, The iDOLM@STER
  • In Ridge Racer Unbounded, rather than the F/A Racing decal on the hood of the Ridge Racer 1 Fiera, the decal has been replaced with the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 logo.
  • The Kamata Fiera appears in Go Vacation as a playable car.
  • According to Slipstream's description, it was rumored that the Fiarre would be discontinued. This could be a reference to the full model change it received on the Vita game.
  • In Astro's Playroom, a game that is pre-loaded on every PlayStation 5 console, a F/A Racing Fiera can be found in the PlayStation Labo, where robots similar to Astro Bot's species interact with it as if it were an RC car operated by an original PlayStation controller. This is a reference to the first Ridge Racer being a launch game for the original PlayStation.
    • The Fiera as an RC car also appears in Astro Bot (2024), under the name Legendary RC Racer, alongside the Racing Model VIP Bot that represents Reiko Nagase, and is used as her prop unlockable at the Gatcha Lab.
