"Representing KAMATA is the classic sports coupe, the FIERA. With the emergence of many new machines over the years, it has been rumored that KAMATA would discontinue production of FIERA machines, however KAMATA has denied this speculation, promising to continue production. They also announced plans for a special Namco Bandai machine."
The Kamata Fiera (JP: カマタ・フィエラ) is Kamata's long-standing sports car. The Fiera is is one of the most balanced cars to drive within the Ridge Racer series, and is a perfect vehicle for beginners.
Apart from Rage Racer and Ridge Racer Type 4, where a similar vehicle was seen, this machine has existed in every Ridge Racer entry.
In its earlier incarnations, the Fiera is based off the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Toyota Supra (JZA80), and the Nissan Silvia (S14, Zenki), while its tuned variant also resembles the TRD3000GT. Starting from the PSP series, it resembles the Mitsubishi 3000GT/GTO (Z16A).
In Universe[]
Ever since the early 90s, the Fiera has been a staple of racers starting out in Ridge State, outliving even its rivals such as the Rivelta Solare, which has ceased production once its parent manufacturer has been bought out. Even with rumors of the Fiera line of models being discontinued, it keeps getting disproven with new models entering production.

It is one of the most balanced machines to drive in the game, with it's standard drift type. However, it can be prone to sudden loss of control on uneven roads, especially on higher categories.
Exclusive to Category 3 is the Kamata Fiera Complete Machine, obtainable by earning 100 Manufacturer's Points with Kamata. Initially, the Fiera is available with a 5-speed transmission and 7500 rpm engine, but from Category 3 onwards, it's fitted with a 6-speed transmission and a 8500 rpm engine starting from Category 2.

Ridge Racer Vita[]
"If the SYNCi is the symbol of Kamata's new age, then the Fiera is no doubt representative of the Kamata tradition. Compared to the 2006 model, the new model adds an extra 200mm to its length and 100mm to its width. This long and wide body, combined with a lowered height, gives the machine a much more aggressive look. Loyal fans would be interested to know that the model has also been upgraded with a refined bodyline and LED headlights for a modern feel. The Fiera encompasses the best of a sports coupe through the '90s and 2000s. And its legend still continues."
The Fiera returns in Ridge Racer Vita, and as ever, maintains its Ridge Racer 7 looks, but now with an aggressive body design, fitted with Quox's & Dig Dug bodykits. It still retains its V6 engine and six-speed gearbox.

Trivia[]
Fiera roughly means "beast" or "wild animal" in Spanish.
In Italian, Fiera is the singular feminine of fiero, which could mean "frightening" or "intimidating", or roughly, "bold" or "daring".
The Fiera has had the most appearances throughout the series to date.
In Ridge Racer V, it was called the Fiaro, but renamed as the Fiera in later games. In Slipstream, it was renamed again to "Fiarre".
The car's entire naming history may be derived from F/A Racing, with the forward slash being replaced by the letter I.
In Rage Racer, two opponent cars in Class 2 resemble the classic F/A Racing Fiera.
The 765-car limited edition mentioned in the description of the car in the PSP games is possibly a "launch edition" model.
This is in contrast to the much later Assoluto Bisonte featured in Ridge Racer 6 and 7, where it is also a model with a limited production run.
According to Ridge Racer 6's in-site description, a special edition of the Fiera was equipped with paddle shifters, implying that the car had an automatic/semi-automatic transmission.
A special paint job can be downloaded for Ridge Racer Vita, although this is exclusive to the Japanese version and for Japanese Playstation Network accounts. The special paint job features Haruka Amami, an idol from Namco's other series, The iDOLM@STER
In Ridge Racer Unbounded, rather than the F/A Racing decal on the hood of the Ridge Racer 1 Fiera, the decal has been replaced with the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 logo.
The F/A Racing Fiera's design in Go Vacation
The Kamata Fiera appears in the Nintendo Wii & Nintendo Switch game Go Vacation as a playable car.
According to Slipstream's description, it was rumored that the Fiarre would be discontinued. This could be a reference to the full model change it received on Vita.
The Quox's parts of the Fiera in Ridge Racer 7 resemble the PSP games' Class 4 variant.
In Astro's Playroom, a game that is pre-loaded on every PlayStation 5 console, a F/A Racing Fiera can be found in the PlayStation Labo, where robots similar to Astro Bot's species interact with it as if it were an RC car operated by an original PlayStation controller. This is a reference to the first Ridge Racer being a launch game for the original PlayStation.
The Fiera as an RC car also appears in Astro Bot (2024), under the name Legendary RC Racer, alongside the Racing Model VIP Bot that represents Reiko Nagase, and is used as her prop unlockable at the Gatcha Lab.
