The Terrazi Ambitious is a car produced by Terrazi, appearing only in Ridge Racer Type 4.

Design and performance

The Ambitious is the first car available when the player chooses Terrazi as the manufacturer of choice. The Ambitious features a typical JDM tuner/grand tourer coupe look, modeled largely after the 1993 Toyota Supra (A80). The car resembles the first generation Kamata Fiera, with the impression that Namco wanted to imply that the original F/A Racing car in early games was actually the Ambitious, as the Fiera name has yet to be introduced in Ridge Racer V (as Kamata Fiaro). The Ambitious features a turbocharged 2 liter 4-cylinder engine, compared to the first generation Fiera/Fiaro's 3000cc 6-cylinder engine. For comparison, the 2JZ-G(T)E engine in the Toyota Supra is a 3000cc inline-6 engine, with an optional turbocharger in RZ models. Because of the 4-cylinder engine, this car may also be a reference to the Toyota Celica GT-Four and since it also has variable valve timing, it could also reference Honda cars having such mechanisim known as like the Honda S2000 for example.

If the player finishes in the last qualifying place, the player will continue driving the Ambitious for the rest of the Grand Prix, but the car will receive engine upgrades, as well as increased number of gears.

The Centellee is the car's possible spiritual successor.

This Ambitious is the qualifying entry machine that Japan's proud car maker, Terrazi is proud of.  Terrazi's naturally aspirated engine has a high reputation in the world, but the foundation is supported by the 2,000cc direct 4 DOHC turbo engine installed in the Ambitious. This engine is equipped with a variable valve timing mechanism specially designed for Terrazi, and the number of movable valves changes at low speed and high speed. The point is that the power is demonstrated both at low speeds and high speeds. Of course, there are only machines that are premised on tuning, and the more you tune, the higher its ability will be. It is a machine that boasts unbeatable speed in the first qualifying.
