The Âge Vainqure (pronounced: "van-koor"), known as the Âge Victoire in the Japanese version, is the last Âge vehicle available in Rage Racer. It is unlocked after completing the Extra GP, and can handle pretty much any corner in the game at top speed. It costs 2,143,500 eg and has the best handling in the game, and is the only special grade car that can be used with automatic transmission.
The car's small engine, a turbocharged 2.4 liter 5 cylinder unit putting out 365 ps (360 hp) means that this is the lightest car in the special grade class, weighing at only 630 kg. It surprisingly has a higher top speed than the Lizard Bulldog, making it the second-fastest car in the game.
The car resembles the Yamaha OX99-11 concept, albeit with a much wider roofline, and the presence of a rear wing as well.
The car could be the predecessor to the Âge "nova" vehicles, such as the Supernova from Ridge Racer Type 4 and the Ultranova from Ridge Racer 6 and 7.

Trivia[]
- "Victoire", the Japanese name of the car, means victory in French; while the western name "Vainqure" is also related to victory, as it is a corrupted version of the word "vainqueur" (winner in French).
- This can also be a subtle foreshadowing to Âge's "nova" vehicles, the Supernova and the Ultranova, as they would eventually become winning race cars.
- This may also call back to the Écureuil, which in itself was also a victorious Âge rally car in the past.
